In the next couple of weeks - ie not an emergency appt, but don't leave it

StarlightMaJesty · 12/06/2012 15:09

Thanks. Given I was supposed to have given birth on Sat and am still waiting.......

I'll get it looked at shortly.

I would get it checked at the first possible chance, but also take a photo of it now with a ruler or something up against it, that way they can see if it has grown

Actually call Now. Apt later or tomorrow and if any concerns it will be off asap.

Depending on your locality there may be a short wait for removal or referral to mole clinic.

Get in the system quickly and when you make your doc apt ask if they have a Gp with special interest in dermatology.

Sorry starlight but there is no reason to wait whilst most manky moles are fine the most dangerous skin cancers can move incredibly quickly...good luck with your delivery:)

Okay, have appointment for 4:30 tomorrow with random GP (was best they coukd do)

Good:)

Most turn out to be just fine even among those removed but better safe ...

Itl probably be ok. Best to let someone take a look. Superdrug do a molecheck for adults - prob charge though.

Any history of SC in the family? Has the area been exposed to sunlight alog/got burned? Is it in a place that could get rubbed - like a waistband?

Good luck for the mole and baby!!

StarlightMaJesty · 12/06/2012 15:43

Actually, if I haven't given birth by then I'll get myself some more heartburn meds whilst I'm at it!

On lower leg. I sit in the uk sun quite a bit due to self-medication for severe acne. Have darkish skin anyway but uk sun never seems to tan me, just dry out spots iyswim.
