I have to go for a Transforaminal injection for sciatica.
Gulp.
Has anyone had any experience of this ?
Basically, I want to know how much it hurts

I too have one booked for next week. When is yours? I imagine it will be more of a mild discomfort rather than alot of sharp pain.

Good luck!

My mums had it done a few times. TBH, she said it was not pleasant at all, but it may be that hers was more painful as they have to press hard, and she is in a lot of pain already

Just to update, I have to have the injection under a general anaesthetic, now because the pressure on my thigh (where the nerve damage is) is too much for me to bear. I fainted when I laid on the table.
The area on my back where the local was injected was fine, but I couldnt lay down properly and it wasnt safe to do.
Other people there didnt have any problems.
