I'm not sure what they are able to take care of, I know the nurse did my Mirena follow up but the Dr did the insertion itself so not sure if I need to see the Dr or if the nurse will suffice - not keen to go into detail with the receptionist!!! Anyhow, it appears ghost of bad boyfriend past may have revisited, I had genital worts 15yrs ago from an irresponsible liaison and I think they may have popped up again... Not sure as I have had the cold sore virus since a teenager and I understand the two viruses are related.... I need to get stop burying head in sand and get over the embarrassment... Can I see the Woman's Health Nurse or does the GP del with these kinds of things??

Thanks for any advice.

Firstly there is no link between herpes zooster (cold sore) and the human papilloma virus.
Secondly, genital warts can lead to cervical cancer so you need to get over any embarrassment you have and get this sorted.
I would phone your local sexual health line and make an appointment with one of their drs. Their receptionists really have heard it all so don't be embarrassed.
Hope you get it sorted soon x

Just to add the visible genital warts I believe are not connected to cervical cancer and are another strain. Someone else may correct me?
