Recurrent thrush after period

Has this happened to you? Every month after my period I get thrush symptoms I have been tested for other inf ie bv etc so Ino is defo thrush the oral pill works in a day or so for me but then the symptoms come back once period is over I heard the herb pau d arco is effective does anyone know if this effects contraceptive pill?

Have a look at your diet, you might have candida, which can be exacerbated by foods you eat/lifestyle. . I sometimes get itchy down there at the end of my period - menstrual blood has a different ph (I think) so can trigger it.
Are the symptoms severe?

I get very dry dwn there wen I'm on but at other times I'm not so I think that maybe wot triggers it. It's mainly internal symptoms I get such as lower pain and soreness down there I've just read about candida overgrowth and it does sound like me I suffer from low blood sugar frequently and have read that if u have weak immune system this can cause thrush but if I take the oral caneston pill the symptoms completely disappear and only return once period is over
