LINGUAL BRACES

Has anyone had these?

I am still thinking about having my teeth fixed. Definitely do not want a trad brace for 2 years. (I'm too old for that!)

My dentist referred me to an orthodontist who offered Invisalign, but there's the commitment of fortnightly appts. and my dentist also has reservations about Invisalign. Orthodontist took impressions for Invisalign but said he could not tell until they were sent off to the US whether I'd need an extraction as well- problem is overcrowding.

I am reluctant to lose any teeth, so maybe the same would apply to linguals.

Questions- are linguasl very painful, and very costly- seen quotes of anything from £3-£11K.

Any other comments about braces?

I had a full on trad brace. Made a difference but teeth shifted after having a baby.

Would never pay the money for linguals. Would consider invisalign.

If you have overcrowding you'd probably need an extraction to get them straightened up anyway.

(Not a dentist btw!)
