Epidurals, lumbar punctures, long term problems

I've had two epidurals, first 14 years ago second 6 years ago, both for childbirth. Since then the spot where they did them has always been a bit prone to achiness from time to time.

Last week I had three lumbar punctures, the first two were unsucessful at extracting fluid, third time they managed it. these were due to the fact they thought I had meningitis.

At the moment the area is still very sore and bruised which will obviously take time to heal.

What I am concerned about is the longterm implications of all this poking around of my spine and anything I should do for the care of it as even before the LP proceedures it was niggly.
