Walked into a door jamb

Yes, I know, very funny and all that DH wasn't even in at the time so I can't blame him for beating me up. And yes, I was sober. I was talking to DS2 in the dining room, DD called me so I turned round to walk out of the room and just smacked my head really hard on the door frame. Agony! Saw stars for a minute but didn't lose consciousness. Now its sore, and a I have a little unicorns horn of swelling. Headache comes and goes across the top of my head. Since it happened last night and I'm still standing I guess it's OK but is it OK to just keep taking painkillers or should I go and see someone?

As long as you have no visual disturbances,vomiting, loss of speech or hearing suddenly or feeling unusually drowsy then you should be OK but I'm not a doc so if in doubt ring NHS direct.

Yep, that's about right But getting smaller, and the pain is confined just to the bumped bit and, oddly, the side of my nose.
