Found a lump and stupidly googled :(

I an now convinced I have some horrible disease. I have a grape sized lump in my mouth, no pain an it's non moving. Some wise words would be welcom.

Would you be able to get an OOh appointment? Or maybe ring NHS direct for a bit of reassurance? How long has it been there?

Think it has been there growing for a while, first time I have put my finger in and felt a big lump though

Whereabouts in your mouth?

It's on my lower jaw just below my back three molars. About the size of a grape, solid, can't move it and it's painless. Don't think it's a saliva gland or a gland. Can't see a doc til weds.

Do you mean attached to your jaw, or behind your ear? Just asking because I used to (years ago) worry about hard, non moving lump behind ear - its a normal gland, just happens to be hard!

Ah, not relevent then - but really, the odds are still greatly in favour of something non-scary
