Ear infection , perforated drum , and clogged ear

I went to the doctor and i have a perforated ear drum on penicillin , i have been taking the penicillin now for 5 days , i have less pain but extremely itchy ear canal , sometimes it feels like someone is poking me with a needle deep in my ear , but the worse is my ear feels like it it ready to pop and muffled hearing is driving me crazy .. please help me

another doctor told me to take sudafed with my penicillin but the side effects of sudafed scare me

Not much you can do I think, muffled ear will be a result of ear drum perforation affecting your hearing. Usually takes a couple of weeks to her completely.

It probably explains the itching too.

Keep along the ab's so the infection clears up. Im going to guess he has recommended sudafed to stop the production of mucus that usually drains down the throat, but instead is getting picked somehow and therefore sitting in the war causing the infection, building up in pressure and eventually causing the ear drum to burst.
