Have been given some for flying, as I'm suddenly terrified of flying! But wondering if I can have one drink on the plane too!? Or best not to?! Or how long after should I wait to have drinks?! Once on holiday?! Thanks

If I were you, I'd read the instructions rather than trust what a random internet person says about it!

One of the tablets is 2mg. I was told to take one before flight.

I would just like views of others that have taken it too, and would defiantly be reading the instructions also Wink

If you take amitriptline as well as alcohol and diazepam you get quite an interesting and fun effect you might get a few side effects

How much do you normally drink? If you normally drink every day then you will probably be ok, but if you rarely drink then you might get more side effects.

I wouldn't if you've never taken it before.
Not a good time to try it on a plane Grin

I have and I take the 5mg tablets. It just makes me more sleepy tbh.

However, tablets have different effects on different people so id try it out first rather than when you're actually on the plane!

Honestly, don't drink on the plane. You might be absolutely fine... you might not. And given that medications and alcohol and their interactions effect us all in different ways... and given that you're wanting to enjoy your holiday... I;d err on the side of caution.

Diazepam stays in the system longer than most similar drugs, so personally I'd give it a good 24 hours before having a drink.
