Mole biopsy result

Had a mole removed two weeks ago. Does anyone know how long the result takes? Will the consultant call me or do I receive a letter through the post?

I think it probably varies from area to area. My sister just had three moles removed (two of no concern, one with pre-cancerous changes requiring a further, wider excision) and the results came in the post after about a fortnight.

But I would think, if its anything seriously nasty, they would contact you a lot quicker
