Heavy arms and legs!

This has only come on since Sunday, and i thought it might have just been the effect of the heat on me. But i feel weirdly faint (but not dizzy) and its a total effort to move my legs in particular, but once i am up, its fine.
Any ideas?

Raised Blood pressure perhaps?

hubbabubbabubba · 29/05/2012 12:38

The weird thing is that i have really low blood pressure, can it go up in the heat? (stupid question i know)

Something spinal?

DoingItForMyself · 29/05/2012 12:42

Thyroid? Dizzy/light-headed, heaviness in limbs and low BP all possible symptoms. Any weight/appetite/sleep issues? Dry skin, thinning hair, depression. Always on the lookout for an undiagnosed thyroid prob, sorry!

Could also be the heat but if it carries on see your GP and see if you can get tested for aneamia, B12 etc too.

hubbabubbabubba · 29/05/2012 12:50

Yeah, well i have suffered depression on and off for years and am on ADs for this. Sleep problems at the mo but put this down to the heat! no dry skin or thinning hair though.
I reckon its something as simple as b12 vit deficiency and low iron, as it has been in the past, for the fatigue.

Never had the heavy limbs before though, (except when i had glandular fever.)

I have the same symptoms and I have thyroid problems. Only recently found out. I would never have thought your thyroid would wreak so much havoc, though symptoms can be quite subtle too. Might be worth a simple blood test to rule it out.
