hello - my DS3 had his tooth filled but he is in pain and I think it needs to come out. I have looked after all my childrens teeth v well but my youngests teeth seem to be much weaker. The cause is not my concern now though!
anyone any experience???

hi - was a temp filling and warned it may have to be pulled. That was 4 months ago and have looked - filling has gone!

ds has had to have 2 pulled
first one at 6,he was sent to dental hospital ,under ga.
last one he was 7 and i asked the dentist to pull it as i wasnt prepared to put him under ga every year(because thats the way it seemed to be going)
dentist had to get the senior partner to do it , but my son was fine -no tears and didnt flinch.
at 4 i think they might send him for ga ,depends on your dentist.

you never know, they may just re-fill it. any idea why they only did a temporary filling?

i've had teeth out, including one as a small child, and it was ok, but like wfrances says, they may want to do a GA as your son is so small. back teeth can be a little bit more tricky to get to which may upset him even though it shouldn't actually hurt while it's being pulled

Hi - I think it was because it was less stressful for him and I admit I was so shocked I just wanted out of the door. We are back tomorrow for assessment but she did say last time it may come out. I fearing the worst!
