Implanon and mucus plug? (TMI alert!)

Have NC.

Had the implant out a couple of weeks ago. Just been to the toilet and the most enormous string of mucus appeared (warned you it was TMI!). I was so taken aback I first thought it was a tampon, but then realised I was being stupid.

Now I am 99% convinced it was just the mucus plug but I had an xray yesterday and had to yay/nay being pregnant. Have not been pregnant before and now (I know I'm being silly, I feel silly just typing this) I'm worried. There is the very smallest chance I could be (not enough to POAS, just usual wait-until-period-did-contraceptive-work stuff). Is mucus some weird sign of being pregnant that I've never heard of?

Anyone else had this happen after having the implant removed please? As it says you can conceive the day of removal I sort of assumed the mucus plug would dissolve, rather than appear in one go a fortnight later.

It sounds like cervical mucous, the fertile mucous when you are ovulating. If you've had the implant out it's probably your body getting back to a normal cycle.

I have just had my implant out, also two weeks ago, had a period for 1 day only and last night had a huge mucous plug type thing fall out when I got out the shower! Never seen anything like it and Google hasn’t helped really! Looks like a mucous plug but I only had my implant out 2 weeks ago! Did your turn out to be anything of note?

This is definitely tmi and forever later but the same thing just happened to me, two weeks after getting the nexoplanin removed. I haven’t started my period yet but definitely was a mucus plug type thing.. Glad to know that it isnt just me 😅
