detoxing - how long until you feel better?

I started eating a la Gillian Mckeith (You are what you eat) almost a full week ago. I am eating a truck load of fruit and veg everyday, no wheat, no dairy and a little chicken/fish.meat. Because my diet is so rubbish ususally, whenever I start a healthy eating plan I always feel a bit rough initially as my body detoxes from all the sugar and processed cr*p. But it is usually over in a few days. I still feel rough today and still have a dodgy tummy (usually a side effect of my detox). Is this normal? I have never done a diet so full of fruits and veg (massive fruit smoothies for breakfast, veg for snacks, veggie juices, salads, etc). Perhaps it doesn't agree with me?
