Getting a sick note when away from home

DD lives and works more than 100 miles away from home. She is registered with the gp where she lives. She was ill last week and came home to rest and recuperate with us.
Unfortunately she hasn't got any better and is not well enough to return to work tomorrow. Will I be able to take her to our gps tomorrow and get a sick note? (she was registered there before she left home).

Yes, as long as they can see her. She can be seen as a temporary resident, may need to fill in a form so the GP can claim a fee for seeing her.

Thank you! We have a two hour drop in clinic at our surgery every day where you just turn up and wait to see either a nurse or a doctor depending on what is wrong, so they will have time to see her.
