Surgical stockings post gallbladder removal ....

Hi. Does anyone know when I can take the surgical stockings off please. Had my op last Thursday. I'm up and about albeit slowly. Hospital didn't give me any info, they even forgot my sick note. Thanks.

I took mine off after 2 days. I was up and about and active straight away so didn't need them.

Thanks Ugg. I think I'll give them till tonight when I have a shower then take them off. They are getting a bit baggy at the top anyway so probably not doing their job. Thanks again.

I had to wear them for two weeks and have anti-clotting jabs too so I would check with your gp first.
