I ate my lunch in the car on the way to a meeting - sandwich, fruit juice, grapes. Probably bolted it down, to be honest. After about twenty minutes in the meeting I suddenly felt very odd indeed - heart started racing, vision went very blurry and kind of 'closed in', felt very spaced out and light- headed, so I thought for a moment I was going to pass out ( have never fainted in my life). It gradually passed after a few minutes but even now ( an hour later) I feel shaky and my vision is still a bit blurred.

Any ideas? Didn't like it at all!

Sounds like a bilious attack. If it is, it will pass.

Was it a stressful meeting?

The 'closed in' vision sounds like what I get at the start of a migraine - sometimes it develops into a headache, sometimes not. Spaced out and light headed fit too.

Usually a sign I need to slow down, relax, and eat regularly...but different triggers for different folks!

How's your head now?

To be honest I wondered if it was the start of a migraine - but i dont usually get those symptoms, just an aura followed by the headache, nausea etc. It wasn't a stressful meeting at all - just an informal one with someone I know well and feel relaxed with.

Im feeling better as time goes on - just a bit wobbly now.

Have been Googling and wonder if it might be a sudden blood sugar surge - or drop - brought on by the fruit juice? I do have blood sugar swings and don't often drink pure juice.

Perhaps get checked for diabetes?

Thanks - Ive been aware for quite a while that I have blood sugar issues. Will see my GP I think. Get bouts of anxiety sometimes which are definitely diet-related as well.
