I posted this in pregnancy too, but don't seem to be getting any responses, apologies if you've read it twice.

4 years ago I had an emergency c-section and a healthy little girl.

I am now 7 weeks pg and the scar really pulls and aches at times in my day. If I sneeze it cramps, if I need a wee it twinges. other times it just sort of hurts

I have a midwife appointment in about 10 days, but until then, i just wondered if it were normal?

I'd mention it to the obstetrician anyway.

A couple of tips I was given, a long time ago, was first that there's a lot being pushed about as you grow your baby, so aches and twinges are quite commonplace. The other one was to massage, with suitable cream or oil, as firmly as appropriate to the newness of any surgical scar, so that all the various layers can heal and function properly. It was to prevent future tenderness and help the scar site be generally more elastic and resilient. It never hurts to pamper yourself a little every day with ten minutes' daily massage, especially when you're pg. Hope that will help.

thanks thirdhill, i like the idea of 10 minutes me time, and will tell my family that MN directed it Grin

It is not overly painful, just more so than other twinges, so it can certainly wait for a week or so until I naturally meet with midwife :)
