I was in bed and scratched one foot with the ball of the other, improbably this actually removed an area of skin on the scratchee foot 
.
It was very sore and pink looking for awhile, it has scabbed over a little bit, but now due to wearing socks and boots, looks a little green/white in the middle, black around the edge, with red skin radiating around it to a short extent.
Has it gone manky? I have antibiotic cream from one of the children's ailments, which I have been applying, but the problem is the boots I think, I only have 1 pair of shoes atm and the boots are it 
It's quite small, approx 2cm by 0.75cm, still pretty sore though a few days after.
Will regular cleaning and the anti-b cream be ok?
