sinusitus or migraine

for the past two days i have this really horrible pain and heavy feeling over my lower forehead and eyes. Its like a constant dull ache. It's making me feel a bit out of it and not myself. I took some paracetamol but it did not really help so i took some sudafed which helped. I also had the runs this afternoon out of nowhere. No real pains in my tummy beforehand.

I've read up on sinusitus and it says the pain is in the face and cheeks which mine isn't. Do you think it could be a migraine?

Thanks all!

That sounds painful

Migraine tends to be in the majority of cases one sides not just across the forehead

Could it be a tension headache?

You can take paracetomol and neurophen together as long as you don't exceed either's maximum dose and don't do it for very long

I also find having caffeine at the same time as the painkiller helps absorption

Cold packs on your forehead might help too

We've all had a bug which consisted of diarehaea(sp), headaches, sore face, swollen glands etc. The headache was across forehead and eyes.

I get migraines and I get lots of visual disturbances, although everyone is different. if the sudafed helped then it sounds like sinusitis

I've had acute sinusitis twice in the last 5 years, both times diagnosed and treated with antibiotics.

The key tests for it were 1. Thick green snot that doesn't stop after 3 weeks (urgh) 2. Sever throbbing pain in lower eye socket area that spreads downwards to the upper jaw 3. Pain increasing if I hung my head forward.

Oh, and 4. Intense pain if you press down on your cheekbones.

it does not sound like sinusitis. i have a runny nose but it's not green. just been sneezing a lot.
Saltire - it might be a bug. how long did yours last for?
