My dp has been up all night with vomiting and diarrhea. Please, does anyone have any remedies that will help him? He's been sipping water all night but keeps bringing it back up.

Sorry for any typos, I've been up most of the night too.

Rehydration is key. Diarolyte if available, il not, a mix of salt and water (with squash to help it go down).
Avoid Imodium as it will stop the symptoms but not solve the problem. I am afraid, DH will have to go through it until it clears unless there is blood in his stools or and a temperature. Sounds like food poisoning. Avoid acidic drinks (ie orange juice). HTH

If getting nowhere with keeping water down, maybe the chemist might give anti vomiting pills. Get in touch with NHS direct for further advice.

Thanks, we have rehydration salts, our son had it (although to a much lesser extent) on Friday, the Dr thought it was a virus. Poor dp.

Fresh ginger tea'll help with the sickness, sip it cooled and sweetened if he can bear it. Same with fresh mint.

That said, if it's a virus then there's not much he can do bar bear down and keep hydrated.

Its going round and has to run its course im afraid. Cooled boiled water, diaorlyte (sp) anything that he can tolerate and it will ease off and be feeling loads better in 24 48 hours.
