Itching after period stops

Hi,
I'm a bit embarrased about writing this but can't get any sense anywhere about my ahem problem.

Every month after my period I have itching down below. Sometimes it doesnt start until about 5 days after my period stops, other times it is the day after. It always lasts for about 5 days then disappears until the next month. Sometimes it is fairly mild, othertimes (like now!) it actually keeps me awake at night.

I have tried thrush remedies countless times (both bought myself and prescribed by the doctor) and every month it is just the same.

Could this potentially be something else like bacterial vaginosis that has been misdiagnosed or am I just prone to thrush forever?
Anyone else ever had symptoms like this?
Will cutting out sugar etc from my diet work?
Help!

I had similar for years. I was using Always Ultra, and hadn't thought of a connection until I mentioned it to my DSis who said she got the same when using Always. I stopped using them and haven't had the problem since.

I was about to suggest a relationship to the use of sanitary products.

An easyish way to test this would be to wait for it to settle and then use you sanpro (obv not tampons) without your period for a couple of days to see if it is the biology of your period causing this or the products you are using.

How old are you- or are you breast feeding?
It could be low oestrogen levels during the first part of your cycle which make your nether regions dry and therefore itchy.

Might be worth seeing your GP and asking to try some local oestrogen cream.
