Rash on dd's back and chest

Really worried about a really angry looking rash that's broken out on dd's body. She is 9months. It's been there for a little while just as red, dry skin and I thought nothing of it but when dh was bathing her tonight he found her whole body is covered in itchy looking red spots, worst on her back.
She's also got a little cold and last night she woke up twice which is unlike her.

Anyone know what this might be?

The spots look like that, yes, but are closer together and there are more of them.

No, not changed washing powder. The only new thing would be I've given her pasta recently and started giving yogurts a few weeks ago but that would have affected her sooner, surely?
No other new additions to her diet.

It doesn't look like the viral rash that DS gets frequently - too angry and raised for that.

Could be urticaria (does it look slightly raised - almost like weals - nettle rash)?

Possibly chickenpox - would be v bad attack though.

As rashes go, it looks quite bad to me. I think I'd call the dr and see what they think.

Is she otherwise well - no temp?

if the spots are like little blisters its CP isnt it..

Ironmaiden · 12/02/2006 21:13

It was slightly high earlier, 37ish, and she has a cold with a little cough. She's not off her food but not as excited about it as normal either tho.
Really worried.
