I'm currently undergoing tests for POTS which is as I understand it relating to postural tachyardia (prob spelt wrong). It is a collection of symptoms which for me are fainty type episodes, which are worse when I've stood for a while or eaten a big meal and have been like this since puberty, worse in puberty, pregnancy, periods and now hurray the menopause. As far as I can see, the main treatment is to drink more fluids and increase my salt intake. Symptoms are worse in women and people who are Hyper mobile (which I am). Just waiting for more tests including tilt table to induce a faint, echocardiogram and urine tests etc. I feel so scared as I don't know anyone else with this... I'm 45 and so have lived with this quite a while! Does anyone else have this?

frazzled123 go to www.hypermobility.org, there is a lot of information there, and a forum where you will find lots of 'bendies' with similar problems. Including me. Wink
