Heavy Bleeding after Stopping Cerazette

Hi all.

I was prescribed Cerazette at 3 wks after having DS2. I wasn't keen on it from the start, due to the listed side-effects, and stopped taking it on Monday, after about 7 wks. I had had some intermittent bleeding while I was taking it, but that had stopped. The leaflet said that I could stop taking it at any time. DP and I are already starting to think about possibly TTC again soon, but will just use condoms until then. Anyway, since Tuesday evening I've had really heavy bleeding, soaking through the highest absorbency tampon within about 2 hours. I feel manky and miserable, although not painful, and there is no sign of it letting up. Has anyone else had this after coming off Cerazette (or any pill), and if so, how long did it last?

My first few periods after having ds and then dd were like that. Quite scary at times. In fact the first period after dd had me in bed for a day!
Think it's just your body finally getting back to normal.
If it carries on for much longer is probably see the gp but I do remember similar.
