Hello lovely mums.

I have been suffering with boils down below for quite some time now, around 5 years on and off but recently they have been coming much more frequently. In fact I don't think I have been without one now for a good few months :( At times I can have numerous spots and boils at a time :( last week I had around 5-6 mostly around my bottom but also occasionally they will be at the front too. They can be so very painful and they will burst and bleed lots too.

Has anyone experienced anything like this before? I hate going to the doctors and having to go with this problem scares the hell out of me :(

Does anyone have any tips or advice as to what I can try.

Many Thanks for reading

C x

I think you will have to bite the bullet and see the GP.

I guess it could be due to the general area getting a bit hot and sweaty - or any infection in the boils just keeps spreading to another area.

does it sound like this?

Don't be afraid to go and get it checked. It is probably more common than you think.

go to the GP. It could be HS as supernanny says. boils / abcesses can be a sign of diabetes too, so for the sake of your general health you really should go.

In the mean time have tried sitting in a warm bath with lots of salt in it? Then dry gently and allow a bit of airflow (commando under a skirt or towel). Do you get ingrowing hairs? I get them really badly, and find clipping them (as opposed to shaving or waxing keeps things feeling nicer but not prone to ingrowns. I use DH's beard trimmer set at level 3.

Thank you for your replies..... :) I eventually plucked up the courage to see a female GP yesterday and she was lovely and very understanding. I have been prescribed a long course of antibiotics and have also had some bloods taken to rule out diabetes.

I have an appointment to go back in a month and also have swabs to do Blush if they burst :(

Anyway, thank you again, it is really amazing that chatting on here helps so very much :)
