Any good experiences of Microgynon?

Hi, I've just been prescribed this after a long absence, had a baby nearly 2 years ago, breast fed so was on the mini pill and now need a new contraceptive. Does anyone have any good experiences of this pill as all I seem to see are negative ones. Thanks.

No sorry. When I was on this I was like a mad woman. I was a horrible person and had to come off. It was horrible :(

no sorry, was fine ON it, but took over a year for normal fertility to return afterwards, would never take it again!

also comming off it I was like a crazy person on drug detox, But felt great on it for the many years I took it

Yes I've been taking it for over 10 years, and had no problems at all.

I had no problems at all on it for about 3 years before having DS and another 3 years after. I have been unable to conceive DC2 though after 18 moths of trying. No idea if that is down to the pill or just my age though.

Fine on it for many years, fine off it while making and having baby etc, fine now I'm back on it.

I took it for about 15 years and I found it great, changed to mirena coil after last baby as breastfeeding but would take it again happily. Hated marvelon and several mini pills though.

Nope. It was hell in tablet form. Was a fab contraceptive though. I would have knifed DH if he'd come near me. Although we were newly married so not ideal...

I fell pregnant in January after stopping it in the August so that wasn't too bad.

I had problems with pill injection and mini pill though.

Very happy with it - I think about 15 years now in total. Got pregnant in first full month off it, no mood swings or any problems while on it, no reactions to coming off it.

I was in for 25 years, with breaks to conceive.
First time within 3 months, 2nd time within 9 months.
No problems at all.
Now on HRT.

Another one with mostly no problems. Took it for around 12 years, stopped in August was pregnant end of October.

Tried to go back on it after having DD and finishing breast feeding but I'd had really bad migraines and it didn't suit at all. Swapped to Cerazette, that was hellish.....condoms now as DH isn't keen on having the snip!

Starting on this actually sent me slightly mental and wrecked a new relationship (ie. the reason for starting it!) It was awful, really awful.

My mood was all over the place, and I haven't dared take any form of hormonal contraceptive since, despite years without issue on a different tablet.

Awful, awful pill! I thought I was losing my mind and it almost destroyed my marriage. It has scared me from ever taking any other contraceptive pill again.
