Lightheaded, dizzy, queasy feeling. What is it?

Every now and again I have a day or two feeling like this.

I just feel a bit dizzy, queasy and light-headed. The only thing I can compare it to is when you get off a boat or ferry and feel a bit 'odd' for a while (although I hate boats for this very reason so it may be just me that feels like this!)

I don't think I would actually be sick but feel sick IYSWIM.

Is it linked to your cycle ? I sometimes feel like that with period and just before.
Not pregnant ?

I used to get this - turns out I was slightly anaemic, and a course of iron tablets sorted it out. I was having quite heavy periods at the time.

CharlieUniformNovemberTango · 18/04/2012 14:55

You could get your iron levels checked. I feel like this when mine are low and during my periods.

Def not pregnant as DP had the snip!

Just had a period (finished a couple of days ago) so may be to do with that I suppose. TBH I'm not sure when its happened before in relation to my cycle.

Do you all get the 'just got off a boat' feeling too?

I get this all the time. It could be hormonal, it could be iron levels, you could have lowish bp. There are lots of things that could cause it.
I have problems with my inner ear and sinuses and lots of things affect it including the weather- if there is low pressure, if it's raining etc.
You should keep a record of when it happens and see if you can pin point it.

I get this all the time too, its rotten. Lots of things can cause it, maybe you are low in iron if it happens in relation to your cycle.

Funnily enough alberts, I always have a sinus headache and today its raining a lot and I am dizzy tonight. I wonder if it has anything to do with it.

Do you take anything for your symptoms.

I have had this for ages, I think its my sight as it is never well corrected with contact lenses.

Having my ears cleaned out helped a bit, might be worth booking in for syringing.
