I have been taking the 'cilest' contraceptive pill for a month to try and make my periods less heavy. I started my period last Thursday and there has been no difference (possibly even a bit heavier for a few hours as i flooded through and all over my sofa!) i am also still bleeding today (day 7) when it would usually be only 5 days.
Does it take a few months after starting the pill to settle everything down?
I was sterilised 7 years ago so don't need it for any other reason than to help with periods.
