Babies are 7 months and stopped bf a couple of weeks ago. Period has returned and it's astonishingly heavy, have gone through multiple clothes in past 24 hours! Anyone else have thus, should I worry?

Mine was v heavy but was only a month or so after child birth, the doctor prescibed some antibiotics and it slowed down pretty quickly. Wouldn't imagine that would be the case 7 months later though? Worth a chat with NHS direct on the phone I guess.

I got this- was frightening. But GP just said cos had had baby! Mine came back after a couple of months but didn't bf.

Was awful, and was staying at relatives; had to come home as so dramatic. Hope calms down soon

My first one after giving birth was super heavy but since then they've actually been lighter than they were pre-pregnancy. Hope it's over soon for you!

I remember my first period after I had DS1 was horrendous. I felt so ill and bled so heavily that I took to my bed for 48 hours - the first and last time in my life I've had to do that because of a period!

The good news is that it's usually just the first one that's like that.

Yes - my first periods were more like mc . Horrendous. Also did It take others a whole for their cycles to settle (not bf)?
