Anyone on prednisolone? Share experiences?

I have it infrequently for asthma (had a slight cold for about 12 hours last week, immune system clearly bored after finishing that off so decided to start on me.) Peak flow was down below 60% even with doubled steroid inhaler and shit loads of ventolin, so got the steroids.

I've had them dozens of times over the years, but the side effects have been WILD this time. I always get a weird feeling in arms and hands (not pins and needles, but not pain, just a really weird feeling), and often have very vivid dreams - but this time, I have barely slept, I've had palpations constantly and am feeling very twitchy.

I didn't take them yesterday morning (day 3) because they were making me feel so crap, but then PF dropped/ wheezing started so ended up having to at 5pm - I didn't go to sleep until 4am!

Took them this morning and tomorrow is the last lot, so hope to goodness I'm all better - think it's time to go back on the singulair.

Anyone experienced any of these side effects?

Have certainly had the arm thing. I think the worse you are feeling the more you feel the side effects. Main thing is to not just stop them, the longer you are on them the longer you need to wean off. A few days is fine but any longer make sure you do it right! Your arms may be suffering if your circulation and oxygen levels etc are too. Take it easy and allow yourself to get better :)
