about 4 weeks ago i felt a rough patch on my back below my brastrap, asked dp to look and he said it was a dark circle rough and looked like a graze.
forgot about it till last night when i felt it again and dp said its not a graze but a circle of dark rough skin.

It could be Seborrheic keratosis - don't worry it's not serious despite the long name! They tend to be associated with getting older - I've had one patch since I was in my thirties, so it not being there before is normal for this condition. If you do a google image search on "Seborrheic keratosis" there are loads of pictures, have a look and see if it matches (they can be quite varied in appearance).

Its likely nothing untoward but I would go to GP and ask for a referral to a dermatologist. I developed a skin condition and the GP had no clue what it was but the dermatologist knew straight away.

Your kids have chicken pox? Maybe you've got shingles?

familyfun · 16/04/2012 21:50

its just one small patch size of 50p, couldnt be shingles could it? it doesnt hurt

It's unlikely to be shingles, too high up. Also, one patch that you've hadfor a while - it would either have increasedwithin days, or you'd be over it by now.
