scabby nose :(

i've had a dry scabby nostril for about a month now an it won't heal!

any good remedies i can try - really don't want to go to dr but it hurts

I get cold sores around my nose (horrible), could it be this?

You might have to resort to a nasal antibiotic cream, South.

Could be impetigo, my DS had this, sore and red with crusty yellow top. If so you'll need an antibiotic cream. I would go to the Drs - although it can clear up on its own, sounds like yours isnt, and if it's strep impetigo it can turn nasty.

Or it might be something fungal, is it inside your nose or just underneath? If its not wet or yellow crusty, more red, dry and flaky under the nose then could be fungal, so you could try a blob of canestan cream.

ooh canestan? will try that, then resort to dr if not better, it's not yellow or cold sore
