hello, I'm 44 & suffering with aches in my fingers, hands, feet, knees& hips, well it feels like my bones to be exact, my dad has RA & has been telling me for months if not years to get myself checked by docs, I have now booked in to see my gp next week & I'm a bit scared.
I wear straps on my wrists wen they ache & this seems to ease the pain but I'm worried that they might say I've got RA . I have 6 children aged from 25-5yrs and I'm worried that I won't be able to manage
Sorry to go on

dont be scared mumo75, am sure everything will be fine and if it means that do diagnose a condition, it will be treated and hopefully will be sorted and you can be pain free....i know it is hard but at least you have plucked up the courage to identify your problem and are going to get it checked out..hope it all goes well sweetheart xxx

hi- my mum has both Rheumatoid and osteo arthritis-and Parkinson's for good measure Sad -I was worried I might have the rheumatoid as my hips ache and my index fingers have bony lumps on them- am older than you but it seems horrible to have this when I'm otherwise fit and healthy...I took huge ibuprofens for a bit,but don't want to keep taking stuff. My GP says just keep going and walking etc to avoid seizing up.

You poor thing, keeping walking is supposed to be good too I think.. not expert tho
