Tummy Trouble!! Could it be emotional???

My ds who is 3 has been complaining of tummy aches the last three nights. He is absolutely fine during the day and then about 4:30 he starts complaining about his tummy hurting. He acts very listless and seems uncomfortable, moaning and moving about trying to get comfortable. He won't eat dinner and will not go to bed and will eventually fall asleep in front of the tv or on dh or me. The next morning he is absolutely fine and has no tummy ache.

Two things have recently changed with him. 1) we got rid of his dummy but he still asks for it as he is used to going to bed with it. 2) we switched to soy milk from cows milk. He has had the soy milk on his breakfast cereal and would think that it would have an effect on him shortly after breakfast. Could he be allergic to soy? Or could he be emotionally stressed about not having his dummy? Has anybody had similar problems?

Could be also that he is sooooo tired. He is refusing to nap during the day and it's so difficult to get him to have some "quiet time" - whether he sleeps or not! By 5pm (about the time he starts complaining of tummy aches) he rubbing his eyes and very teary.

I've tried to get ds to nap during the day and he just won't do it anymore - especially since I've taken away his dummy. Any advice on keeping them napping?
