Hi, one of my wisdom teeth is causing a lot of soreness it look's as though it's inbedded in the side of my cheek, The tooth isn't that big & I'm wondering how the dentist is going to be able to extract it. It feels as though it has cut into my cheek.Anybody else experienced this? I had a check up a few weeks ago & my dentise mentioned that he would have to keep an eye on it & now it's causing me trouble. It's also very hard to brush because of the position it's in. I have been gargling mouth wash & salt water :-(

Clove oil rubbed on gum or have cloves in your mouth. Mine had to come out because it was pressing the one below it back into the gum, so glad when it was extracted.

I had to get one of mine out as it was growing in sideways and potentially would have caused all sorts of probs. they did it under local anaesthetic at the dental hosp and it came out with no major dramas except that had to break it in 2 to get it out as it was quite deep rooted.

If yours is causing you pain, get straight back to your dentist ASAP. Dental pain is not fun at all. If its not too complicated then your dentist may be able to remove it himself with injections etc. Good luck!

Candyfloss I could have written your post today-one of mine is also coming through (the side of my cheek too) and I'm in agony....earache, sore throat and the whole side of my head aches. What a way to spend Easter weekend [busad]

Ice lollies and anesthetic lozenges seem to help tho....

Thankyou for your replies, I'm going away today so will have to live with it until I get back :-(. It's not so much the tooth that is aching it's more the inside of my cheek that is really sore I have tried looking at it but because it's so impacted into the cheek it's very difficult but I can taste blood sometime's & if I run my tongue along it I'm sure it feels as though there's an incision. The toth is also very hard to brush I think it shoujld have been extracted ages ago. I will get some clove's & Afishcalledalvira I hope that u feel better soon hun nothing worse than toothache. Have a lovely Easter [busmile]

Hi, I'm waiting to have my wisdom teeth out by general anathestic. They are going into my cheek, going into other teeth, going into my jaw at angle, etc.
They said will have go through jaw to get at least one of them.
