She hasnt been herself recently and eating very little. Her poo seems normal apart from its a beige colour. Anyone know what this is a sign of.

Thanks

kbaby, I'm not going to be much use but wanted to respond, because MWs and HVs have specifcally asked if stools have been normal or pale. Think it's worth getting it checked out- even by ringing NHS direct, or perhaps someone wiser and more medical than me will be along in a minute! Hope she's ok

i thought white stools were a sign of liver prob (not necesarily serious_)

pale stools can be an indication that there is fat in the poo (there shouldnt be). It can also be an indication of allot of other things, inc diet. If it happens again, you shouldsee you gp.

ds2 is 22 months and has had this a couple of times - when he's been poorly anyway - cold/cough etc. I thought it was because he ate less at these times and therefore his main source of 'food' was his milk - so the poos looked paler?? As soon as he's been well his poos have returned to normal colour and he's been fine.

dd had this last yr when she was unwell and wasn't eating but was still drinking her cow's milk and it's turned out to be that.
