Round itchy lump on labia minora?

Fluffycloudland77 · 02/04/2012 17:44

I thinks it's the minora, not the lips of the vagina but the outer bits have a red lump on one side, it's not madly itchy but it is annoying.

So, diagnose me. Doctors? let it go down on it's own?

If it's near opening it could be a Bartholin's Cyst.

Fluffycloudland77 · 02/04/2012 19:37

No, it's def on the flappy bit.

Great now I have to see the gp. Always fun showing your fanjo to a total stranger.

I had one, a bit bigger than a pea, on minora, about a month ago.

I spent about 3 days looking up 'vulval cancer' on internet and then it disappeared.

could be a spot?...had a lump down there for first time ever about 2yrs ago, was horrified but left it a few days to see what happened, got bigger and more itchy/sore then burst, never to be seen again(ewww). wasnt even aware you could get spots down there!

pipsy76 · 02/04/2012 20:00

I have had the same as starsinthereyes, in fact everytime I used 'always' sanitary towels this happened, some sort of allergic reaction I think

Fluffycloudland77 · 02/04/2012 20:17

So hopefully it will go before I manage to get an appt then. It is like a pea in the tissues.

I really hope nothing bursts down there, that can't have been nice.

Wish we had a bath, nice saltwater bath would be good.

I'd say it was an ingrowing hair??? Or am I thinking of totally the wrong part of down there???!!

DontForgetTheLightAlesLawrence · 03/04/2012 15:35

I had a Bartholin (sp) cyst - I shared here once how it burst when I was in Paris. I thought it was my mate's smelly breath Grin.

Seriously, they're no fun, try a hot compress on it. If it becomes infected (as mine did), you might need antibiotics.
Good luck.

It's not an ingrowing hair, it's on the hairless bit .

DH says it's coming to a head. He's never going to want to have sex with me again is he?

It's not as itchy now, just a bit sore if I sit down and the seam of my trousers is on it.

Delightful.

This recentlly happend to me, and I was wondering how long it would take for the "allergic reaction" to go away?
