I have an under active thyroid and take 50 mcg a day for it. My periods are heavy, really heavy as in 5/6 pads a day for five days and can't even get dry out of the bath, etc. really not pleasant. I am tired as well, hair loss, bad skin, sluggish brain, etc.

Just had a test down and doc sys normal, but I'm going to make an appointment tomorrow because I want things to improve! As an aside I bruise really easily right now, I've a belter on my knee and no idea how it happened! It just appeared after a slight knock!

I already have spa tone daily.

When the doc says 'normal', what exactly were your TSH and T4 levels and ranges? It's just that, normal is one thing, but must be looked at alongside the symptoms and you still have very hypo symptoms.

50mg is a faily low dose. Do you take magnesium? It can help.

Will advocate for b12 supplement. People with hypothyroidism can have lower than normal levels.

Perfumedlife speaks truth.
