My later period started on the 27th of feb, It was a very normal period. On sat the 24th i had a blood when i wiped after going to the loo, This lasted most of the day. I thought my period was just abit early but i have had nothing since. I don't want to google but is bleeding in between periods a bad sign?

Ummm, any chance you could be pg (implantation bleeding?).
Also how early would this have been for you? If it is a bit of spotting just a day or 2 before your period would normally start, and this is the first time it has happened I really wouldn't worry.
Keep an eye on it though and if it starts to happen through the month go to your GP. There are lots of reasons for intermenstrual bleeding and very few of them are really terrible.

we did have sex twice last week but it wouldnt have happened that quick would it?

It would have only been a few days early if it was the start of my period, I was expecting it to come on the 28th.

Are your periods usually very regular? It's just mine would go through phases of being clockwork and then other months where it would be one day, then the next month a whole week.

BTW if you are overdue for cervical screening then it is a good idea to go but you should make a separate appointment to see the GP re the bleeding if it's concerning you. A smear is not a test to go for if you're having intermenstrual bleeding, as it's a screening test, not for women with symptoms.

If you are due on the 28th, you'd (most likely) have ovulated 14th, so implantation day 7 onwards - any time from 21st.....
Might not be, but dates can't rule it out. See if period starts normally.
I wouldn't panic from one episode of bleeding a little bit early, but as Bela says get that smear test sorted!

I used to bleed between periods (usually a couple of days after sex) and it turned out I had an eroded cervix (which was being irritated by the sex and was bleeding a wee bit). Super easy to fix, no more bleeding! So it sounds like there are a number of reasons you could be bleeding - don't panic!

Could be a cervical erosion - I had one - the doctor told me that this is a misnomer - it doesn't mean your cervix is actually eroded - it is to do with cells growing on the outside of the cervix. These cells can be removed quite simply - I had them frozen off.

That said, if you've held off on having a smear, it is a very good idea to have one anyway - maybe see if they can check for an erosion at the same time :)

I've had this a few times.

First time I tried to get doctor's appointment and couldn't so I went to A&E. A&E told me to get doctor's appointment. Still couldn't get to doctor's (too long a wait) so I went private. It cost be about £400 to get it checked.

I had a kind of continuous trickle. At private hospital I had a scan which showed nothing. Well nothing apart from one fibroid.

I had it again a few months later and got to NHS doctor who didn't seem that concerned. This is probably due to my age, eg I'm facing menopause. Now 47.

Don't google. Just speak to GP about it.
