One ovary not working? Period every other month.

Has anybody else had this? Did you see your GP? What did he/she say? Don't really have other symptoms apart from painful periods, ovulation pain (when ovulating, eg, probably only one side).

47 now. Is this menopause?

Any good websites anyone can recommend about menopause?

I tend to have a period every three months now. I'm 44 btw so I could be perimenopausal. However two years ago I had endometrial ablation to sort out heavy periods, so this may be reducing my periods. I also had keyhole surgery last year to remove a cyst on my left ovary.

It's possible my left ovary may not be working too as I have started to get pain on that side again over the last few months. I'm hoping it's not another cyst:(
