I had my novasure 2 weeks ago. Since them I have always felt damp due to the discharge. Knew this would happen but yesterday felt wet. Today is the same but I have passed more blood like discharge Before had been very pale yellow/brown. Now brown/red. I also have terrible period cramps. Period would have been due on approx 25-28 march pre op.

Probably going to get checked at gp tomorrow to be sure but anyone had same?

Yes get it checked out, it might be infected, I don't think the wet feeling is normal, but I might be wrong. Are you feeling sick?

springaroundthecorner · 19/03/2012 21:27

Hi, yes I did, and I did have an infection. I left it for ages as I didnt think I had as the symptons werent as described in the post op leaflet.

So, yes go and get it check our asap, I second that.

I think if you are not feeling nauseous, or have a high temperature, short of breath, dizziness, then you are most likely fine, as this is an indication of an infection. Green discharge is abnormal, but red/brown is normal even after a few weeks of having the procedure.

You probably already got this this. Anyway definately go to the dr.

I'd get it checked out.

After I had my endometrial ablation I felt quite wet for a good few weeks and had a very watery discharge, but there was no blood. That was normal apparently. At least you'll be reassured if you're checked.

Thanks ladies. Will get checked tomorrow. My normal nurpfen are not helping with cramp but I am not doubled up.

I had Novosure last year. I had terrible, terrible, heavy, smelly discharge for about 3 weeks. It veered from brown to yellow to brown. I did know to expect it but the quantity astounded me. I went back to the GP who wasn't sure if I had an infection or not but stuck me on abx just in case.

Hope you feel better soon.

You might actually be getting your period early. I would have a chat with a doctor anyway just to get some reassurance though.

I had endometrial ablation nearly two years ago and still get periods but they are much lighter than before.

gregssausageroll · 20/03/2012 17:35

I have been given antibiotics as a precaution. Could be my period it it has been heavy although not as heavy as before. I am pretty upset. I thought it would be much less if it is my period. Gutted.
