The left side of your body, or left facing you?

HettyKett · 19/03/2012 18:08

Possibly appendicitis? Get thee to A&E pronto

noddyholder · 19/03/2012 18:14

I had a kidney stone that started like that def doctor or A and E

Clownsarescary · 19/03/2012 18:16

A&E now! Pronto! Appendicitis probably. Good luck.

noddyholder · 19/03/2012 18:17

I thought appendix was rigth side

accidentprawn · 19/03/2012 18:18

NHS direct think it is a kidney stone. They want me to go to see my doctor in the morning. If it gets worse overnight, go into A&E.

I thought your appendix was on the right?

You need to be seen. Appendicitis doesn't always start with pain around the site of the appendix. Or could be gallstones, kidney stones, anything - you really need to be seen.

Hope you feel better soon.

Theyremybiscuits · 19/03/2012 18:20

My friend had appendicitis and the pain started left hand side.

accidentprawn · 19/03/2012 18:24

DD will be home on her own if i do go to A&E and i don`t know if i want to leave her alone all night. Can I go to a walk in center?

OP posts:
MrsHoarder · 19/03/2012 18:29

Anyone who could sit with her? You can go to a walk in centre if its still open, but they are more likely to miss something serious (having been sent home from one with appendicitous which A&E noticed a few hours later).

noddyholder · 19/03/2012 18:29

I lasted all night with it and was awake the whole time. Took painkillers but it didn't touch it. The pain starts to move towards the groin after a few hours if it does that go to a and e as it can get stuck and this causes agony and infection and can damage the kidneys

FannyFifer · 19/03/2012 18:32

If you are in pain to the extent that you are sceaming you need to go to a&e and bring your dd with you ( how old is she ?)

Phone NHS24 at the very least, you shouldn't need to ask advice on a website about what to do.

Clownsarescary · 19/03/2012 18:33

Noddy you are spot on about infections too and affecting other organs, this can be really serious.

OP please get someone to have dd and get to A&E pronto.

accidentprawn · 19/03/2012 18:37

DD is 12. I have phoned NHS direct, they think its kidney stones.

lookbutdonttouch · 19/03/2012 19:20

You do need to go to a and e, please go. I had a kidney stone that stuck and did awful damage.

Can anyone else have your DD at all? It is a medical emergency.

If not, then take her with you.

Please go.

lookbutdonttouch · 20/03/2012 09:23

Morning accidentprawn, how are you doing?

Did you go to A&E? How is your DD?

Hope you are ok.

accidentprawn · 20/03/2012 15:44

afternoon.
I went to A&E. They said that it isn`t appendicitis or kidney stones.
They think it is constipation! The pain is getting better and i have been to the loo.

lookbutdonttouch · 21/03/2012 11:04
