Should I phone the doctor?

My ds (5.5yrs) went to bed with headache and temp on Tuesday night, he was sick that night and about 3 time yesterday, and again last night, despite not eating since yesterday lunchtime. He was sick again this morning and it was green. His temp has gone down to 100.3 this morn, whereas it was 102+ yesterday. Should I phone doctor, or just give him another day of just water and see how it goes?

Sounds like the bug my dd has got - there's a lot of it around at the moment. She started with it yesterday, and has been vomitting for a couple of hours. Her temperature was 104 last night and she was hallucinating, but it's coming down this morning.

At the moment I would say there is no point in calling the doctor - IME they will only tell you to give ibuprofen to bring the temperature down and relieve the headache. If he gets worse, or isn't starting to get any better by tomorrow, then call the doctor for advice.

Thanks WigWamBam. Hope your dd is better soon. Our drs have a childrens clinic on a Friday, so if I phoned this morn. they'd probably only give me a appt. for tomorrow, so may as well wait to see how he goes today.
He's so gutted that he's missing his swimming lesson tonight, he's only had 3 and he's really enjoying them!

Last time mine were ill with vomiting they both did a green bilious vomit, but that was their last and they gradually recovered after that. Hope your DS is feeling better soon.

Just a quick note - if he's still being sick you should stick to paracetamol as ibuprofen can upset the stomach. Hope he feels better soon.

Thanks. Hasn't been sick since about 10am today, but temperature has gone down, so trying not to give him any medicine on an empty stomach.

hope he gets well soon! could it be a migrane? I started getting them around 6 my mum was told that children can get temperature with them?

Don't think it's a migraine as the headache went yesterday and didn't come back. Think it's just this winter vomiting bug that's going round. But we do have a history of migraines in the family.
