NHS legal advice

Hi all, first post.

I need some advice here on what to do.

I know a girl who has been in contact with the NHS over mental health issues, seeing counsellors etc.
The girl is 15, and her issues stem from her overbearing Father, so she's been seeing a counsellor at a school, and seeing an NHS psychiatrist.
The psychiatrist had to send a letter via the school about her information and things she'd been saying to her to check out whether or not it's right.

The letter said than in no way was the letter to be sent to her home, and nothing was to be said as her Father and Stepmum would take it out on her.

Sure enough, they sent the letter to her home, and of course it's caused ructions and general unhappiness, adding to the girls mental stress.

Does anyone know what should be done here?
Any specialist solicitors/lawyers that deal with NHS admin errors like this?

Hi. It isn't clear from your post, that the NHS sent the letter to the girls house,(why didn't the Psych.write direct to the school),or whether the school sent the reply to the girls parents,(why?),or whether the school asked for the information requested by the psych.from the parents, rather than replying direct to the Psych.
If the mistake is by the NHS, then you can complain to the Director of Mental Health Services at the hospital where the Psych. Is based. You can also complain to the PCT,(Primary Care Trust), and also contact the Hospitals Legal Dept., explaining what's happened.
If the mistake is the schools, complain to the Head and the Director of Education and the Board of Governers if applicable.
If you are concerned re this young girls mental/physical well-being, perhaps you could contact SS. HTH.
