Had 2 questions, thought I may as well combine. Hope the thread police no-one minds!

Now I am getting "old" (over 30, sob) I can't just have a runny nose anymore. All the snot dribbles down the back of my throat and I often get pressure on my nose like heavy glasses, I have to do this daft sinus-tapping thing I found on google. Is this normal old age? I've never broken my nose or anything.

DD1's (age 4) toe nails curve to follow her skin. It makes them an absolute bugger to cut. They have been like this since birth. If I leave them too long the nail leaves a big indent in her skin and she cries (briefly) - it's the whole length of the nail - not ingrown at the edges. Is this normal / should I think about taking her to a chiropadist (?) or something? I have always followed all the 'shoe rules' (fitted clarks/pediped etc) so I don't think its anything I've done.
