Underactive Thyroid

Have also posted this in Chat, I realised I just probably have put the thread here first! Sorry Blush!

Anyway, I've been having blood tests which I thought were for a thyroid check as doctor reckons I have an under active thyroid.

It turns out the blood tests were not for the thyroid at all, just regular blood tests. I instead have to wait three months for a blood test to check my thyroid! Is it normal to have to wait this long? Am not happy tbh, I want to know (it will make things a lot clear if I, in fact, do have an underactive thyroid.

If anyone can give me any info on this, I will be grateful! :)

It shouldn't take that long for thyroid test results. Also remember to order FT3 as it is not included as part of normal TFT (Thyroid Function Test which includes FT4 and TSH only). FT3 will help you to get the whole picture.

Normally it's take a couple of days for test results to come back.

How long should thyroid function blood test results take UK??

Hope it helps.
