Hi I had my breast reduction 6days ago and feeling good but very tired and quite itchy I have my stitches out Tom, did any of you have trouble sleeping on your backs ? I find it hard but it hurts to sleep on my side and also I'm scared of damaging stitches

Had mine done back in 2001, lucky enough to get it on NHS at time. Went from F to C. It’s good to have much more normal size boobs, which are now a D as I’m carrying too much weight. I remember the pain in hospital recovery, but it wasn’t unbearable or worse than other ops I’ve had. The gel strips to reduce scarring are amazing.

I forget I’ve had them done the scarring is so minimal. Managed to breastfeed to start with but then switched to formula as couldn’t fill up hungry DS.

DH has only known me with the boobs I have now and used to wistfully wish I had bigger boobs, till I dug out a photo of younger me and he said “perhaps not”. Sometimes I miss them, but only for a split second it’s been so long without them, gosh 20years in fact.

Good luck OP with finding a good surgeon and the process.

Hi, I'm due to have a breast reduction in just over 2 weeks. Having to self fund as despite meeting all the NHS criteria and GP submitting claim for funding 3 times, it's still a no. And I just want it done now.
Feeling more than a little freaked out as the time gets nearer but my main question is, how do you know what size compression bra to buy. I've been told I'll need to wear one 24/7 for a while. I've only found one site that makes any comment and that suggests to buy at current size to handle post-op swelling.
What has anyone else done? Any advice gratefully received.
