Sore, itchy fanjo

Thought it was thrush but after a canestan pessarie last night it's worse... Itching gone but really sore. Plus it's not just 'inside' that is sore now, whole area is.

What could it be? Not prone to thrush or anything an thought of flashing fanjo at new Doctor's Surgery is not a fun prospect Blush

Sounds like thrush to me. Canesten doesn't work instantly. And thrush does affect internally and externally.

Try some natural live yoghurt on a tampon overnight.

If you are concerned do see your Gp.

Thrush normally goes the other way for me with soreness and then itching.

Give the canesten a little bit longer to work and if it's still not helping or the soreness is becoming worse then go to the doctor.

Is it hurting to urinate?

No urinating is fine :)

Sounds like thrush to me tbh. Have you ever used a canesten pessary before?

I think I must be allergic to them because the one time I used them it made my thrush about 1000 times worse whereas canesten oral helps.

Try to wear all cotton knickers, keep cool and if the itching becomes unbearable then yoghurt is rather soothing.

No never... Usually just use the cream or baby cream! Will try the oral one :)

Just double check with a pharmacist that you can take an oral one after using a pessary. I can't remember what the advice is, sorry!
